About the Event
Pranayama is the practice of expanding the dimensions of prana (life-force) in the body. The breath is our most important and necessary function. When we breathe properly, by using our full lung capacity, we can improve circulation, digestion, brain function, focus, alleviate insomnia and much, much more. The great Yogis say that once you control the breath, you control the mind. The two are intrinsically linked.
During these classes we will learn and practice specific pranayama practices, some to awaken and energise, some to calm and balance the nervous system. Others to alleviate insomnia. Each class will also include gentle Yoga warm-up.
